As we usually do, Hubby and I headed over to the Bellevue Downtown Park for the Independence Day fireworks show.  The park was wall-to-wall people, blankets, and tents.

And that was only in one direction!  People, dogs, kids, and vendors made themselves comfortable with their picnics and drinks, waiting for the big show to start around 10:00PM.  We brought our folding chairs and good books to read while waiting.

On the way home, as happens most years, we see the amateur fireworks shows.  Some people seem to have near-professional shows of their own, which livens up the drive home.  Speaking of which, five days later, our backyard neighbors are still setting off fireworks!  But we don’t begrudge them their celebrations of the Greatest Nation on God’s Green Earth.
