Now, this letter was actually written in 2014, so this kind of behavior by the FAA (responsible for airline safety) has been going on for ten years. The FAA is prioritizing skin-color over merit in their hiring. Keep that in mind the next time you fly.
Haven’t been on a plane since I retired, which happened about a month after the date of that letter. Good timing, eh? 😉 Anyhow, it was already such a horrible experience by then, I decided if I can’t drive somewhere, I’m not going. See the USA, and like that.
Well, it turns out that this letter might be fake. If it turns out that it is, I will delete the post. I trust Wendy Patterson, but even she is not infallible.
I certainly hope it does turn out to be fake. But we are obviously warranted in being unsurprised if it is genuine.
Having had a few interactions with the FAA, they don’t exactly have a wellspring of competence that they can afford to give any away.
