Notice the word “attempt”. The second effort did not succeed either, nor did it come as close to him as the previous attempt in July. Also notice that the media has buried the news about that first attempt, even as new evidence comes to light that government agencies were willfully negligent in protecting him. The first attempt was an inside job.

There’s something about the rawsalerts updates that makes me think they’re not able to keep their story straight. Were the AK47/scope/backpacks/GoPro camera found near the scene or was the suspect carrying them? They are very scrupulous about repeating scope, AK47, backpack(s) and GoPro camera. Giving us enough details that we can come to our own conclusions. But how much of this was made chiefly for mass consumption? I’m not saying it didn’t happen. This seems like a tailor made crisis intended to raise the temperature of the water. ‘Guess what kiddies! If you want to carry out an assassination attempt on some scoundrel ex-president, this is what you’ll need. Don’t forget the video camera, because we want pics!’
Looking at the entire chain of abuses committed against DJT (Stephen Miller’s list posted above is one of the better ones I’ve seen for concision and impact), and the fact that, thus far at least, and except for the massive costs to him personally, every single one has failed in its objective to keep him from becoming POTUS again, a lot of us are beginning to conclude that Divine Providence is looking out for him. I’m not one to go around proclaiming miracles, and am skeptical of those who do until much evidence is provided. But in this instance, my old trial lawyer’s instinct is telling me there is quite a bit of evidence for the Providence argument. Bill Maher curses Trump’s “amazing luck.” Try again, Bill. Heh. 😉
Yes. And he has changed his own behavior to become more outgoing when around others, which must have been hard. God sees, and approves.
In public, yes. Everyone who knows him well says that in private, he is an entirely different person. I wish he could transmit that.
