We made it to Friday, so here are some funnies to take your mind off all the crap going on in our country, and around the world. First, a hilarious new video from Simon’s Cat. Found on X/Twitter.
Next, a cute cat cartoon. Who hasn’t been awakened this way at least once by their furry companion?

This guy does lots of great cat cartoons.
This post just came out from our state transportation department.
More cute cartoons.

Great fun! Regarding the last cartoon…libs and bureaucrats really do regard all our income as “theirs.” One of the tax professors at Harvard Law, Stanley Surrey, published an article way back in the 1960’s called “The Tax Expenditure Budget”, in which he argued that a formal budget should be developed by the Treasury Department treating all reductions in taxes as “expenditures”, to be controlled and minimized to keep the gravy flowing. I doubt you’ll be surprised to learn that the Federal establishment latched on to this idea with enthusiasm. To this day, the concept remains key to the Federal Leviathan’s funding strategy, and statists celebrate Prof. Surrey’s “legacy” for having come up with this pernicious tool to facilitate the fleecing of taxpayers.
