Re-posting for your Inauguration Day pleasure

Back in November of 2024, I did a post of comments by Cynical Publius from X, and myself, on what we think President Donald Trump should do in his first days back in power. Today, I am re-posting my own comments about how President Trump should approach the employees of the many federal agencies. We have learned recently that a goodly percentage of those employees are leftists, and hove, once again, vowed to do anything they have to, to oppose the new President and his policies. Nearly Half of Federal Employees vow to resist Trump.

Below, my own words on this subject.

Next, from me. This is what I think President Trump needs to do during his first week in office. Only he can do this, and he should do this in person. Trump is a tall, imposing guy, and he needs to dress the part.

He needs to visit every federal agency, in person, and he needs to give the following speech.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the [insert agency name]:

I am visiting you in person today, to impress upon you the gravity of my office of President of the United States of America. This is a Federal Agency, and it reports to ME, the President. From this day, until the final day of my term in office, you must always remember that YOU WORK FOR ME, THE HIGHEST REPRESENTATIVE OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC. The American electorate, who put me in office, expects me to do their work, NOT YOURS. I will not tolerate any insubordination, back-talking, information leaking, back-stabbing, opposition, or any other indication that you are balking at MY orders. Believe me, if you engage in any oppositional behavior, speak to the legacy media without express permission from my office, spread rumors against me or my administration, or leak ANY confidential information even to your own family, you will be immediately terminated for cause. You may not coordinate with any other Federal agency without express permission from your supervisor or directly from me. This Administration will not tolerate the kind of behavior from my own employees, that happened in my previous administration. You will always remember that your agency reports directly to me, and if such behavior becomes widespread, it is within my rights to fire any or all employees of that agency, or terminate the agency itself.

If this new regime makes you uncomfortable, you are free to leave now, without penalty. In the next few weeks, we will be issuing a statement of requirements for all Federal employees to sign, that will be binding on you for as long as you work for the government. Employees who excel at their jobs, and are willing to work judiciously to further the work of the American People, will be rewarded commensurately for their efforts.
