The corporate e-mail lingo is perfect. Even after eleven years (yes!) of retirement, the memories linger.
My favorite is “Hope this helps.” “You’re on your own, pal. I’ve done my part.”
You will not believe how ridiculous a real cat with all her “points” can look when she lands awkwardly on a plush pillow and can’t seem to get either of them unstuck. (Sorry I didn’t get any video.)
Especially when that cat is black, and the claws are readily visible. And you risk getting scratched if you try to help. Those points are razor-sharp.
