The header photo for this post is the Hood Canal Bridge, the main artery to the Olympic Peninsula, which is closed due to high winds.
We are being hit by a succession of atmospheric rivers off the Pacific Ocean, which cause extensive flooding and road damage all over the Western half of the state. Some people are of the opinion that this is caused by climate engineering by various organizations. I am withholding judgement for now.
Please note that the videos are real, but the comments from this guy are sarcasm. The CCA has added over a dollar a gallon to our gas prices here, with zero climate benefits.
Governor states that Highway 2 will be closed for months. This is devastating! The Bavarian Visage of Leavenworth will see much lower tourist activity, due to Highway 2 is the main route there from Western Washington. Hubby and I go there at least two or three times a year. Well, the state has been neglecting all highway repairs, due to spending all our tax money on windmills, electric ferries, and bike lanes.

Driver dies when flood waters overwhelm his car. As is common around here, the stupid driver drove around the “Road Closed” sign. There is no cure for stupidity, other than Finding Out when you Fuck Around like this guy did.
Western Washington braces for landslides as rain and flooding continue. The Sounder commuter train that goes along Puget Sound suffers from track closures year-round due to landslides along its route.
