I always find a snow-covered landscape peaceful.  This photo I took in front of our house in January of 2012 epitomizes “peaceful” for me.  Also, it’s surprising how little change happened between color and black-and-white in this particular picture.

There’s very little more peaceful than a sleeping kitty.
