Where else can you get such a great education in topics you never knew you were interested in? Just today, two accounts posted on entirely different subjects, and I now have better knowledge of my world.

The first thread involves the study of Old English. I thought I knew a bit about it, but it turns out that I was entirely ignorant.

This article will tell you where many of the words and phrases you use every day came from. I also found all the graphics very beneficial to my understanding.

The other article I found today is a little more emotional, and helpful for understanding disturbing events taking place in our society right now.
