I never do these daily prompt things, but…meat. I have something to say about that.

What are your feelings about eating meat?

God made us humans to be omnivores. That’s why we are at the top of the Food Chain. He also designed our bodies to require certain nutrients to thrive, and there are some that are mostly found in animal products like meat and dairy products

Therefore I am an enthusiastic meat-eater. It has little to do with feelings, and a lot to do with meeting the body’s requirements. Veganism and vegetarianism are contrary to Nature, and people who choose those limited diets always need to get the missing nutrients elsewhere.

Besides, my favorite food is a good steak!

  1. I seem to recall a recent study, discussed at some length over at Instapundit and/or Glenn Reynolds’ Substack, which found that the human body needs meat and other animal food products to thrive. RFK Jr., apropos of nothing whatever, is a staunch proponent of that view of nutrition. As you noted, the nutrients lost by a meatless diet have to be replaced somehow. I find it much easier simply to enjoy all the foods God gave to us, and trust that He knew what He was doing.
