Lens-artists Photo Challenge #373: Looking back to Challenge #31, Landscapes

I do remember doing that challenge, shortly after WordPress stopped sponsoring them. I understand that we have to keep our photos to only six, so I am going to try using ones that I have not used before.

I’m pretty sure that landscape photos can be taken from any vantage point that’s not a closeup, so for my first one, here’s a landscape taken from an airplane window, on our October journey to the Carolinas. We were blessed with a clear day.

This shows three of our volcanoes, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams, all in a row. Below them are the East side of the Cascades, of which the volcanoes are a part. The river is the Yakima, which has a beautiful canyon road which everyone who visits should travel.

This is the autumn lakeshore, along Silver Lake near my home. It was a windless day, so the lake reflected the trees and houses along the shore.

This is a barn near LaConner, in the Skagit Valley, surrounded by a little field of corn.

Rather a mundane location, the business park where I used to work, but the snowy trees were lovely, early in the morning.

The fields of tulips in LaConner, just this year.

And an oldie but a goodie for me. I just love this photo, and think it’s one of the best ones I ever took, and it’s right outside my front door. You can almost feel the silence.

    1. Thanks. We were in your neck of the woods in October (Aiken) and liked it. I did posts about our trip. One of our Ricochet.com friends lives on Hilton Head. I would love to visit there. Cheers!
