Lunar New Year is Here: Year of the Horse

So, in honor of the Year of the Horse (I have been horse-crazy since childhood), here are some horses that caught my eye and my fancy. My ultimate favorite horse breed is Friesian. They are magnificent, and I think they are the most beautiful with their shiny black coats, and manes that would make any …

On Jeffrey Epstein, and his world

It occurred to me recently that I have not posted about the man who seems to have had his pedophile and financial tentacles in almost every corner of the world. For years, he lived in multiple mansions, from New York City, to Florida, to his own private island in the Caribbean, known as Epstein Island. …

Just Good Fun

This past weekend, we spent some time at Bellevue Square, a regional mall. They had a huge, interactive video screen for shoppers to play with. This was such fun, Hubby had a ball! https://videopress.com/v/3vCQuOzQ?resizeToParent=true&cover=true&preloadContent=metadata&useAverageColor=true Fun with skaters-watch the birdies too! Hubby loves penguins, and these were especially cute.

Holidays at the Marina

Thursday Hubby and I went out for dinner to our favorite Italian place, near the Marina. It was another cold, clear night with little wind. We noticed some bright blue lights nearby, so after dinner we went outside and found this. Lighted hollow ornament We thought it was very pretty. And the lights weren’t just …

*The situation in Iran, brought to you from the front lines. On X, and almost nowhere else.

Did you know about the revolution taking place in Iran right now? You didn’t? Why might that be? You say there’s nothing on the news about it? Maybe it didn’t fit the approved legacy media narrative. I guess I’ll have to show you. On-the-ground reporting from Iran and its neighbors in the Middle East. https://twitter.com/gghamari/status/2007218514210500719?s=46&t=AkJV8dX_RyhUKPG8uj0KNQ

I am proud to introduce Jocelyn Anderson, Bird Photographer

This is a woman whose account I follow on X/Twitter. She posts the most wonderful videos, of her "Hand of Snacks," wherein she holds out her hand full of bird snacks, and they come and eat. She must have an iron arm, because she can hold still for long periods while the birds come to …

*More information about the flooding in Western Washington. Water, Water, Everywhere!

We are being hit by a succession of atmospheric rivers off the Pacific Ocean, which cause extensive flooding and road damage all over the Western half of the state. Some …

Welcome to the suet feeder, woodpeckers! And chickadee!

Just watching out my back glass door, as numerous birds come to take advantage of our feeders, both seed and suet. The seed feeder is nearly empty, since I will be bringing it in for a thorough cleaning. Both suet feeders are full, and attracting lots of hungry birds. Just in the last hour, there …
