I am a Jew. In 2007, I went to Israel with Michael Medved. For me, it was a quest, to see where my people originated.

At Masada, dozens of my ancestors committed suicide, rather than submit to being conquered by the Romans. I felt very close to them when we went there. Those were My People.

This is the Western Wall, all that remains of the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in the year 70 CE. These are My People.
At university in the residence I stayed in first years had to sit on a brick, give it a name and explain waht the name – I called mine Masada. I am not Jewish but can appreciate the stance which was taken. Also like the photo of the 2 black birds being contrasted by the walls.
Love the first shot 🙂
