Snowbirds

Still more of our avian friends, visiting our yard for the excellent seeds and suet.

SongSparrow

This is our Song-sparrow.  See how puffed-up he is, against the cold.  He likes to hog the seed feeder-sometimes he will just sit there for long minutes.

FemaleThrush

This is the female of our pair of Varied Thrushes.  Her chest-stripe is gray, where the male’s is black.

Nuthatch

Here’s our Red-breasted Nuthatch.

Warbler1

And my favorite Townsend’s Warbler.  From this angle, he looks like he’s wearing a yellow cape over his gray/black back.
