This is our Song-sparrow. See how puffed-up he is, against the cold. He likes to hog the seed feeder-sometimes he will just sit there for long minutes.
This is the female of our pair of Varied Thrushes. Her chest-stripe is gray, where the male’s is black.
Here’s our Red-breasted Nuthatch.
And my favorite Townsend’s Warbler. From this angle, he looks like he’s wearing a yellow cape over his gray/black back.
