Trying a new Photo Challenge: Cee’s Flower of the Day

I like flowers, but no way can I grow them.  The azalea bush below has grown near my front door since I moved into my new house in June of 2000.  My real estate agent gave it to me as a housewarming present, and it has flowered most years since then.   Not bad, for 21 years!

My Azalea

Like their cousin, the rhododendron, azaleas come in a variety of warm colors.  Here’s a bush growing by the path down to Snoqualmie Falls.  A riot of color, if you ask me.

  1. “I like flowers, but no way can I grow them.” Oh, I struggle with this sentiment as well. I love your azalea, and if mine manages even one blossom next year (only about 12 years in), I’ll send you a photo. Deal?
