Quotes of the Day: Presidents Day with Washington and Lincoln

Today is a holiday to celebrate the birthdays of two of the greatest presidents in the 250-year history of the United States of America.  Just so it’s not reduced to a simple day off from work, here are some quotes from both presidents.

Washington Said:

If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we will be taken away like sheep to the slaughter.

Doesn’t that sound particularly timely today, with the censorship of speech on powerful social media platforms?

To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.

Truth will ultimately prevail where is means to bring it to light.

Also especially timely today, where truth is silenced and lies are spread by “influencers”.

Discipline is the soul of an army.  It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all.

The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men, or slaves.

Think about this one, when you yield your Liberty to Health Nazis.  Americans are already turning into slaves.

Lincoln Said:

You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.

The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.

The children who are taught Critical Race Theory, environmentalism, and transgenderism today, will be your masters tomorrow.  Parents, pull your kids out of the government schools today.

We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.

Prescient, yes?

I am a firm believer in the people.  If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis.  The great point is to bring them the real facts.

We all can see that those in our government distrust and despise the people, ruling over them rather than governing.  They call half the population “domestic terrorists”.

This country with its institutions belongs to the people who inhabit it.  Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.

What do you think, readers?  Is it time for us the People to exercise our revolutionary right to overthrow our elitist government, which is trying to make us into slaves?
