Bill 5599 passed the Legislature, and is on its way to the Dictator for his signature. This is the law that will allow children to run away from home, find shelter, and get “gender-affirming care” without their parents knowing (the state is forbidden to contact parents if the child says he does not want them contacted). This has been called “legalized kidnapping”.

My opposition to SB 5599 is grounded firmly in parental rights. The question that no-one asks:

If it's abuse they are trying to alleviate, then why haven't they simply added it to the definitions of 'abuse'?

the answer of course is because it would then be subject to due process and the point is to eliminate due process.
