It’s Time for Another “Dip” into the Seattle vicinity Cesspool (try not to get any on ya). New Story Added under Threats.

Once again, it’s time for a foray into the local Dystopia known as the Seattle area. And this week, there are some doozies for you. First off, earlier this week, a homeless man was found to have a 5-year-old girl in his tent in a local homeless camp. People in the area said that “the girl did not belong to him”, so that set off alarm bells. Story below from X.

Now, here’s the same story from the local biased press, after a few days. Man released from prison. This is a case of possible kidnapping and rape of a child, and the prosecutor’s office couldn’t/didn’t bring charges in time, so they let the guy go. Welcome to Seattle.

Since we’re on the subject of homelessness, which is a big deal in King County and Seattle (due to the high and rising numbers). Please notice while reading these stories that in Seattle, homeless vagrants can be offered assistance by the Seattle CARE team, but they are not required to accept such assistance. If they decline assistance, they are left on the streets to deal drugs and guns, take drugs, run markets of stolen property, and die of overdoses.

On the homeless shelter front, Plymouth Housing, the well-connected leader of the “housing-first” group in the Homeless-Industrial Complex is having its usual upheavals. They manage “low-barrier” housing, meaning clients are allowed to bring their drugs and use them in their units, and they actually hand out drug paraphernalia, which has the usual consequences of crime and overdoses.

Then, there’s the article on KOMO that says in the Seattle Mayor’s 2026 budget, the Seattle CARE team will double in size! Twice as many government employees to earn money for doing next to nothing to solve the homeless problem, which is primarily drug addiction, and the crime that results when addicts can decline treatment. Welcome to Seattle.

Now, to the crime in Seattle. First, an ambitious driver jumped an opening drawbridge, while fleeing from police officers. I mean, the Seattle Keystone Kops.

Driver in Capitol Hill neighborhood, shot in the neck, and killed.

If you want to know how far up the rot goes, how about this story:

Kshama Sawant’s husband accused of assaulting Congressman’s staffer. Kshama Sawant is a former city council member, and a Socialist. Her career was marked by violence, crime (she led a violent protest at the Seattle City Hall), and support of angry demonstrations all over Seattle. She was the prime mover for Seattle’s “Amazon Tax”, a tax on large companies, which has moved Amazon to stop adding staff in Seattle and move to Bellevue. Her husband is as violent as she is.

Seattle DEI-hire police chief sees progress in hiring, and responding to violent crime. Yeah, right. Police don’t want to work in Seattle, knowing that every move they make will be second-guessed by a far-left “review board”, and the city council is mostly far-leftists or socialists. Get this post about the mayoral candidate running against the current useless mayor.

Since President Trump has this week declared Antifa to be a domestic terrorist group, that’s not a very good look for the Socialist who wants to replace the current mayor.

Then, there’s the IT employee of local department store giant, Nordstrom, in the news this week for issuing threats against conservatives in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Speaking of Threats, this story is alarming. We see that even family and friends of conservative voices are now at risk from Leftist Violence. Knowing what happened to Charlie Kirk, we are aware that there is very little stopping Leftists from attempting to kill or hurt their political opponents. With DemocRat politicians and social media denizens speaking of conservatives as Nazis, authoritarians, and scum, they give tacit permission to their followers to go after us in real life.

And a couple of stories about the financial situation around here, which is bad and getting worse. King County has been found to have had employees embezzling the public’s money, and been unable to account for millions of dollars in public funds.

And a little bit wider:

Olympia refuses to give the public an accounting of where all the billions of dollars raised from the carbon tax are going. They don’t know, but we have a pretty good idea: right into the pockets of “green” NGOs, and politicians’ buddies in the environmental lobby. And our gas prices will continue to go higher and higher, since the legislature passed an automatic gas tax increase of 2% every year with no limit. The very negative power of compounding. And we’re pretty sure that the “emissions” levels are not changing one iota.

Finally, this is who represents Seattle in the US House. Quite a nice little lady, don’t you think?

Well, it IS Seattle, after all.
