The High-majority DemocRats are bound and determined to institute an Income Tax on the public, regardless of the Public’s telling them multiple times that We Do Not Want an Income Tax; and regardless of the Public-passed Initiative 2111 that states in no uncertain terms that:

…prohibits state and local governments from imposing or collecting any tax on personal income

Here is what Tyrant Pedersen had to say about the Income Tax bill making its way through the DemocRat legislature.

“That was, what did Mary Poppins call that, a ‘pie crust promise.’ Easily made, easily broken,” Pedersen told KUOW. “We put that language into statute, and we can amend it any time we want to. I wouldn’t take that super-seriously.”

Our Legislature, and our DemocRat Overlords have basically told us that they don’t give a rat’s ass what the public thinks or wants. They will go ahead and do whatever they darn well please, and we the Taxpayers are stuck with it. This is what tyrants do, not elected “representatives” of the People who elected them. The scare quotes are there on purpose. Who wants to live in a state which legislature informs that public that they are simply the piggy-bank for government, and that the government can take as much of their earnings as they want, for whatever reason? Increasingly these days, the public is voting with their feet, and leaving the state for friendlier parts.

Our state government is already spying on us, and now they want to bankrupt us.

Don’t ever forget that our Nanny State of Washington is already spying on us, bound and determined to declare us “domestic terrorists” if we disagree with their actions and try to stop harmful bills in the legislature. Remember also that the DemocRats in Washington and elsewhere don’t consider us their political opponents, but their enemies. What do you do to your enemies? You destroy them.

One last note. The Washington State Constitution states that the government MAY NOT institute any direct tax on income in the state. However, our all-Leftist Supreme Court has already twisted that beyond recognition in approving Seattle’s tax as an “excise tax”. The legislature knows that the Supreme Court will approve anything they pass, regardless of public opposition.
