I love going to the mountains, God's Big Construction Project (and also destruction project). These mountains, in Zion National Park in Utah, used to be at the bottom of a big shallow sea. Notice the many layers of rock, first deposited over millions of years, then thrust into the sky. https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/state-of-mind/

Weekly Photo Challenge: Seasons
I've got this one covered. My favorite season of the year is Autumn. I got married in October of 2003, and I'm in that period of my life, and loving it. My husband and I went to Victoria, British Columbia for our honeymoon, since he had never been there before. We took the Victoria Clipper …
Weekly Photo Challenge: Vibrant
How's this for a vibrant splash of color? Azalea bush at the Seattle Japanese Garden in the U of Washington Arboretum. https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/vibrant/
Weekly Photo Challenge: Weight(less)-Gravity
At Devil's Tower National Monument in Wyoming, the broken rocks at the very bottom started out at the top. Gravity (with the help of water) does that. Mighty mountains are turned to sand, with gravity and time. https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/weightless/
My Best Photos of 2015
I discovered that my photo challenge posts seem to draw the most "likes" of any. So here are some of the photos I took this year that I think are my best work. LaConner, WA, Marina, January 2015 Above the clouds, September 2015. Denver Airport, April 2015 Clouds over Pike's Peak, April 2015 Rock climber, …
Weekly Photo Challenge…Eye Spy
Can you find the well-camouflaged creature in this picture? He blends in with his surroundings very well (which Nature probably designed him for). He was on the grounds of the visitor center at Garden of the Gods park in Colorado. https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/eye-spy/
Welcome to Winter at Calling-all-Rushbabes
New header, and it's snowing again at Calling-all-Rushbabes. Wear a warm coat, and enjoy!
Properly Grateful…Joy of Giving
I like to think that I count my blessings every day, not just on Thanksgiving Day. This year, I've had numerous occasions to reflect on the manifest blessings in my life, and my country. I was fortunate to be born in the United States of America, which has, since its founding in the 18th Century, …
Weekly Photo Challenge: Treat
Once, in a previous life, I was owned by a purebred Ruddy Abyssinian cat, named Veloce. She was the only purebred cat I have ever had, and it was a treat, just to look at her. Please enjoy this visual treat, in honor of National Cat Day. https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/treat/National Cat Day
Weekly Photo Challenge: Careful
This week's challenge photo shows a lady who had to be VERY careful in order to get where she is shown. She has carefully climbed a rock spire at Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado. You can see her elation at having achieved her goal. However, this week's photo also requires another, to show …
