RushBabe49’s No-Mask Manifesto

RushBabe49’s No-Mask Manifesto

The Wuhan Coronavirus Pandemic, which originated in Communist China and was spread world-wide by Chinese people allowed to leave the “infection zone” in January, has meant that people everywhere have been advised (and sometimes required by Government Edict) to wear “face-coverings” whenever outside their homes.  The Almighty CDC has gone both ways on when and whether ordinary citizens should be wearing face-masks.  Early in the pandemic, they said that it was useless for people other than medical workers directly interacting with patients to wear a mask, as they don’t protect the wearer from viruses.

Later on, they reversed course, and said that masks were advised when indoors and in proximity to others.  It’s like watching a tennis game, being jerked one way and then another by the Medical Establishment, on whether you should or should not be wearing a mask.  We now have squads of self-styled Civilian Enforcers keeping watch on outdoor trails, calling the Government when they spot a jogger or cyclist not wearing a mask!  We have turned into a society of snitches, a mini-Stasi of neighbors informing on their neighbors.

The Press in their reporting, have made this virus into a deadly killer, and convinced everyone that this killer is lying in wait for everyone just around the next corner.  However, the published statistics tell another story.  Even at its worst, the Wuhan Coronavirus might kill 5-6% of those who contract it, and the majority of deaths have been of people over 70 years and in long-term-care facilities.   Our Government Ruled that the Economy of the US must Shut Down, so the virus would not spread.  We shut down, but the virus still spread.  Millions of jobs lost, and businesses ruined, for Nothing.

MANIFESTO

As for me, I hereby refuse to be afraid of my neighbors, coworkers, and everyone else in my environment.  I will not make the invalid assumption conveyed by wearing a mask: that everyone I meet is a potentially deadly carrier of the new virus, and might infect me with the virus.  I will not comply with any government mandate that I go abroad in the world wearing a covering over my face.   Mask-wearing is a way to make the United States not only  a “low-trust” society but a NO-trust society, and I will not participate.  I value my face, and others’ faces, and when I smile at someone, I want to see them smiling back at me, which is impossible while wearing a mask.

And when I see pictures of crowded Asian cities full of people wearing masks, I think about how much I value my individuality and my liberty and my face (borrowed with permission from a Ricochet friend).  I claim my individual liberty, and I will take my chances on contracting the Wuhan Coronavirus.  So far, I have not (tested negative last Friday).  I will take my chances in life, and I will take the consequences.  NO MASK FOR ME.

China Lied, and People are Dying in Great Numbers

Many greater than the Chinese Communist Party is admitting to.  I urge all of my followers to follow the link below to an excellent story, promoted to the Ricochet Main Feed by the Editors.  Many thanks to the Post Author, James Gawron.  Also, many of the commenters provided their own links to other stories, which only add to the sordid data. God Bless Everyone in America.  And may the Almighty God Curse the Chinese Communists unto the tenth generation.

It’s The Culture, Stupid! How we got the Wuhan Coronavirus

It’s The Culture, Stupid! How we got the Wuhan Coronavirus

With Novel Coronavirus spreading like wildfire everywhere in the world now, perhaps you are wondering how it all started, where this virus came from in the first place.  You might wish to know how it was that, last fall in China, someone in the medical establishment there noticed some cases of a particularly nasty pneumonia cropping up around Hubei Province in central China; the capital city of Wuhan in particular.

Let’s start, then, at the beginning.  Chinese culture is very old, going back many centuries, and many of the culinary characteristics of today’s China are throwbacks to a much more primitive time.  In the long past, like in most countries, the Chinese people lived closer to the forests.  In those forests lived many species of animals, and the people killed and ate those animals.  When the Chinese people became more civilized, and moved into villages and then into cities, they brought many of their culinary tastes with them.  Chinese people today still have a taste for unusual foods like pangolin, bats, and sharks-fins.  It is well-known that Chinese will pay good money for some very unusual foods, and that has led to their encouraging of poaching of some endangered species.

Cultures in Africa also have a taste for some exotic wildlife, and many tribes today still live in or near jungles and forests, where they hunt and eat wild animals, sometimes including primates.  Here is a picture of a market stall in Africa, where they are selling exotic wildlife for food.

bushmeat-Africa

In Africa, this is called “bushmeat”, and you can see the face of a primate among the specimens in this market.  It is well-known that some diseases can be spread by the consumption of exotic animals, and that eating the flesh of primates may carry what is known in humans as Creutzfeld-Jakob disease.  This is a particularly gruesome, incurable condition that causes the brain to deteriorate.

Getting back to the beginning, scientists for decades have known that many exotic species of forest and jungle wildlife carry their own kinds of viruses and bacteria.  In these species, the pathogens often do not cause any kind of adverse effects or illnesses.  In fact, we humans also carry many harmless, and sometimes beneficial, viruses and bacteria (bacteria are what actually allows us to digest our food).  It is only when humans consume, or live among, these exotic species that their viruses and bacteria can “jump” to humans, and then they can cause very harmful diseases.  This process is called “zoonosis”.

In the early 20th Century, it has been determined, the virus that causes AIDS first jumped from African primates to humans.  It remained localized for a long time, but eventually made its way into civilization, and they was spread very rapidly by homosexual humans and their multiple sex partners (the original “spreader” was a flight attendant who boasted of over 2,500 partners).  The Ebola virus, whose name is a river in Africa, was spread by Africans and their penchant for eating bushmeat, and it remains a stubborn low-level epidemic in multiple parts of Africa.  Eastern Equine Encephalitis is a virus found in horses that can spread to humans, and African Swine Fever has recently decimated the pigs of China (it is similar to Ebola in humans).  Scientists and wildlife experts have been trying for decades to get Africans to stop eating bushmeat, but their efforts have been in vain.  Culture is just too powerful.

Well, the same kind of situation holds in modern China.  The Wuhan Wet Market is an institution in the large capital city of Hubei Province, where citizens can buy all manner of wild animals for food.  Investigators have determined that the virus that is now propagating everywhere in the world originated in bats sold in the market.  And the Chinese people have proven similarly resistant to giving up their cultural taste for exotic food.  The Communist Party has closed the market for now, but the culture does not change that quickly.  Here’s a new interesting article.

China has been a Communist country since 1949, and the Party has added another layer of culture over the original Chinese culture.  Their culture of secrecy and arrogance contributed in large part to the spread of this new disease.  However, their very-Chinese concentration on “saving face” also helped in a big way to keep this world-wide pandemic going.  The Communist Party’s prime directive is tranquillity-they will do anything to avoid unrest in the population.  So they did things like suppress news of the disease outbreak, and put the doctor who originally told his medical colleagues about it under isolation, making him sign a confession to “spreading rumors”, and condemning him to death from the virus.

Communism is Evil, and it can lead to situations like we are seeing now.  People all over the world are succumbing to this previously-unknown virus, and their deaths can be attributed in part to Chinese and Communist Culture.

Thinking about the “Wuhan Coronavirus” epidemic [Updated]*Dictators Beware

Thinking about the “Wuhan Coronavirus” epidemic [Updated]*Dictators Beware

The news has been pretty grim regarding the new virus making the rounds of most of the world this year, wreaking havoc on China, where it originated, and spreading quickly to other countries, including the United States.  It is fortunate that so far the US has very few cases, but that could change rapidly.

Now, China is a Communist country, and the way its leaders are handling the crisis reflects that.  Tyrannies tend to lie about any conditions that could make them look bad to the rest of the world, and this communicable disease is a perfect example of that.  They took weeks to disclose the original outbreak, and it’s pretty well known that even now their statistics do not accurately reflect the numbers of infections and deaths there. My take?  To Xi Jinping: I hope that he is afraid, VERY afraid.  This is an enemy that he has no defense against.  Even the Dictator of China is not immune to this novel virus that some say might have been deliberately created in his country.

To Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei: I hope he is also VERY afraid, seeing that his Deputy Health Minister has tested positive for the virus.  Even the Supreme Leader of Iran, who is famous for oppressing his people, is not immune to this deadly infection.  Cases are multiplying rapidly in Iran, and I wonder if it takes a very tiny snippet of RNA to bring down the nuclear-weapon-seeking “Islamic Republic” of Iran?  [Edit March 3] Here is a link to a news story about the virus spreading in Iran, and at the top ranks of clerics and Parliament.  Will this weaken the regime? We can only hope.

And to Dictator Kim Jong-Un of North Korea: His country shares a border with China, but we hear very little about what is going on there with the virus.  It is well known that the health of the average North Korean has always been borderline starving, and those whose bodies are already in marginal health will likely succumb to this kind of disease much faster than healthier, better-nourished people.I pray that this evil dictator, who murders his own relatives, is VERY afraid today.  This tiny piece of living thing is a bigger threat to himself and his country than perhaps anything that he has previously encountered.

All of the above countries have some important things in common that will prevent them from adequately addressing, and protecting their people from, the new virus.  All three places are basically still Third-World countries, with medical systems that are much less advanced than the rest of the developed world, and are somewhat closed to outside influences.  Even relatively-advanced China has a countryside populated with poor peasants, who have lesser access to hospitals.  One other characteristic of all three countries is that tyrannies care little for the individual person, over and above their ability to do work, and have less interest in saving their lives.

I feel very sorry for the majority of the people who live under dictators and communist regimes, because their futures are most likely to include a greater degree of suffering than citizens of advanced economies.

Although, we citizens of an advanced economy in the US have watched the stock market plummet this week, losing 1,000 points today alone.  That is “panic” territory, with many people selling much of their portfolios. This picture says a lot.

I’m not panicking yet, but I think we should all be concerned, watch the news, and take the advice of health authorities about what precautions to take.

One last thing.  The first US case of the virus was a man who lives in my general neck of the woods, and he has recovered and returned to his home.

China.Is.A.Communist.Country.

I do not voluntarily deal with those who live in Communist, totalitarian, countries.  I refuse to buy a product of a Chinese company.  I won’t buy a Volvo car (Volvo is owned by Chinese company Geely).  I would not buy a Chinese-branded phone (Xiaomi or Oppo).  I currently have a long-term-care insurance policy from Genworth.  There is a Chinese company trying to buy them, and if they succeed, I will seriously consider dropping my policy that I have paid into for nearly 20 years.  I will never visit China, for any reason, no matter how beautiful it might be.  I am well aware of the total social control emerging in China, with facial-recognition systems deployed everywhere.  China denies its people access to the world-wide Internet; maintaining its Great Firewall of China. And no matter how strenuously the managers at Huawei deny that they would never use their Internet-backbone products to spy on another country, I know that to be a lie.  Any company in China is required to allow the Communist Party access to its products.

I don’t deal with countries who kidnap their people abroad and take them back to China to prison.  I don’t deal with countries who arrest booksellers.  I don’t deal with countries who murder their own people for speaking their minds.  No matter how economically prosperous China might seem, it is still a Communist country, with a state-planned economy.  China should never have been admitted to the World Trade Organization, and I advocate their immediate expulsion.  China has a world-domination agenda, and I believe they should be strenuously combated everywhere.

I only joined LinkedIn in the first place because I was constantly being hounded by out-of-work friends (even though my own company was not hiring).  And, funny thing, I get requests regularly from people all over the world wanting to “join my network”.  It’s nice to be thought of as having a valuable network, but I pay little attention to LinkedIn.  And I wish they had a “Refuse” button to go along with the “Accept” button.  But there is none, and I simply delete requests by those who I have no interest in knowing.  That includes every request from anyone in China.

I believe Islam is Evil…

I believe Islam is Evil…

…but I find myself in sympathy with a particular group of Muslims, whose culture is facing extinction.  Over the last year, I have been reading in the Wall Street Journal about how China is closely observing all its people, placing cameras equipped with cutting-edge facial-recognition software, wherever the people are.  China is building a ubiquitous “social credit” system for ALL its people, where they are continually observed at every activity, work and play, and judged for worthiness.  Those deemed unworthy are denied jobs, the ability to travel, and other benefits of life.  This horrifies me.

But the group who has been feeling these effects the most are the Uighurs, a Muslim group that lives in Western China’s Xinjiang Province.  The Communist Han Chinese government deeply fears these Muslims, and thinks of them as terrorists.  So many Uighurs have been literally placed in concentration camps; removed from their homes and detained against their will.  Their mosques that haven’t been torn down, have been abandoned, and they are not permitted to communicate with friends or family outside (and even inside) China.  The malevolent Chinese Communists call these camps “vocational education centers“.  Ha!  Uighur neighborhoods are still and silent, and the people left there are afraid to worship, or venture very far from home.

iu-2

The Communist Chinese are pretty good at this sort of thing.  Remember the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s?  Where children turned in their parents to the authorities, and intellectuals were sent to collective farms in the countryside for “re-education”.  An entire generation of Chinese was subjected to stunted development.  And how about Tibet?  Since being conquered by China, it has become a shadow of its former self, its people subjugated, their culture denied.

All in all, the Chinese Uighurs have actually been pretty peaceful, and not nearly as bloodthirsty as their Arab co-religionists.  But the ChiComs can have NO hint of difference or rebellion inside their borders, so they ruthlessly destroy the millennium-old culture of its smaller ethnic groups.  Han Chinese move into and take over the homelands of the Uighur, leaving their cities nearly unrecognizable.

I still think that Islam is Evil, but what the Chinese are doing to their Muslim minority is purely criminal, and Evil in itself.  Many in the modern world think of China as the world’s biggest market for exports, or as an exotic vacation destination.  Knowing what I do about how China treats its own people, I would never, ever go to China, for any reason.  They should not get any Western tourist dollars, which just help perpetuate the evil.  They certainly won’t be getting any of my dollars.

What OTL Hath Wrought

Courtesy Of Mr. Dave Carter, on Ricochet this morning.  Dave always gets it right, and this is just excellent.  The family that lives in the White House (gee, I’m wondering why they haven’t re-christened it the “Black House”) is squandering YOUR money on lavish parties and vacations, while you sweat and toil every day to keep your family simply fed, clothed and sheltered.  This makes me spitting-angry.

An Open Letter to Barack Hussein Obama, Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm

Dear Mr. Obama,
Please STOP tearing down all the Traditions and Institutions the majority of the American People hold near and dear, starting with the institution of MARRIAGE. The president takes an oath of office (obviously simply a charade with you and the rest of your party) to PROTECT AND DEFEND the Constitution and Laws of the United States of America. YOU, on the other hand, have done your level best to tear down, and disrespect the laws of the United States. It is despicable of you to insist that the Supreme Court strike down the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines Marriage as the union of One Man and One Woman. Your allied Feminists and Gay Rights activists have already diminished the institution that ensures that children will grow up with an intact set of parents to guide them into being productive members of society.

Then, STOP being a Dictator, with your minions at the EPA doing their level best to destroy industries that employ thousands of Americans, to feed your environmentalist campaign donors, whose dearest wish is to take America back to the 19th century of horse-drawn wagons. The USA is founded on the RULE OF LAW, not the whim of one man.

And STOP diminishing the role of the USA, the world’s most benevolent Superpower, on the world stage, leaving a leadership vacuum for China, North Korea, Russia, and Iran to fill. STOP dissing our ALLIES and encouraging our ENEMIES, who will surely do what they have always threatened to do-try and destroy us. You have single-handedly abandoned the idea of Victory in War, and replaced it with pulling out with our tail between our legs. I can assure you that the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Israel will NOT thank you for leaving them at the mercies of their age-old enemies who wish, and now have leave to destroy them.

Lastly, don’t even THINK of trying to take away our guns, which are the last line of self-defense we have against the tyrannical government you intend to build in this country. In the final instance, WE are more powerful than YOU are, and I can be pretty certain that OUR military won’t fire on US, the citizens of the United States of America.
