We would be delighted to accompany your family to Point Defiance Zoo some time. Fall and winter are good times, because the animals are out, and the crowds are not so big.
Many years ago, I went on a behind-the-scenes tour of the cat house at Woodland Park Zoo, guided by Helen Freeman, the lady who started and ran the Snow Leopard Project there. I saw her tickle their female tiger under the chin, and that big cat really let out a loud purr!
