Today, over 50% of US adults have been vaccinated against the Wuhan Coronavirus.  Millions have already been infected, and recovered from Covid-19.  Data show that prior infection with the virus can confer life-long immunity.  Many states have totally dropped their mask mandates for everyone, and more states are going along with the (dubious) CDC guidelines, which state that fully-vaccinated individuals may ditch the mask entirely.  Even my deep-blue state of Washington has gone along with the advice for fully-vaccinated people.  I ditched my mask over two months ago, and have been defying posted rules in stores for a long time, without comment from anyone.

However, there seems to be a segment of the population who suffer from “Stockholm Syndrome”, and refuse to remove their “face diapers” when outside their homes.  Some of those people have not only had the disease and recovered, but have also been vaccinated!  How can people be so cowed, and stupid, as to not accept the restoration of their Liberty?  Maybe because the Government, the Mainstream Media, and the Tech Titans have, for over 14 months, been publicizing how dangerous this virus is, and how “spikes” in “cases” mean that the public is falling down on its duty to remain in cages to “slow the spread”, when none of those actions have had the slightest effect on the virus.

Last month, I received a link to a story on Yahoo News, originally from Pravda on the Hudson (AKA the NY Times), describing some people who refuse to abandon mask-wearing.  It is a very interesting article.  Here are a couple of quotes from the article.

Whenever Joe Glickman heads out for groceries, he places an N95 mask over his face and tugs a cloth mask on top of it. He then pulls on a pair of goggles.

He has used this safety protocol for the past 14 months. It did not change after he contracted the coronavirus in November. It did not budge when, earlier this month, he became fully vaccinated. And even though President Joe Biden said on Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask, Glickman said he planned to stay the course.

In fact, he said, he plans to do his grocery run double-masked and goggled for at least the next five years.

For people like Glickman, a combination of anxiety, murky information about new virus variants and the emergence of an obdurate and sizable faction of vaccine holdouts means mask-free life is on hold — possibly forever.

“I have no problem being one of the only people,” said Glickman, a professional photographer and musician from Albany, New York. “But I don’t think I’m going to be the only one.”

This certainly shows how effective the media have been in convincing the public that the virus will kill them if they get it, that masks are protective against the virus, and that it is their duty to others to wear that mask.  A retired (at age 51!) elementary-school teacher wants to keep all her students masked!

Leni Cohen, 51, a retired kindergarten teacher from New York City who has a compromised immune system, said she planned to continue wearing a mask when she helped out as a substitute teacher. But what she would like more is for her students to stay masked.

“Kindergartners, while adorable, are quick to share their secretions,” Cohen wrote in an email listing the illnesses, including colds, strep throat, pneumonia, influenza and parvovirus, that she has caught from her students over the years.

“This year is so different!” she continued. “The kids are not sucking on their hair or putting classroom objects or thumbs in their mouths. Their mouths and noses are covered, so I’m (mostly) protected from their sneezes and coughs. I can see keeping up with masks. It is the safest I’ve ever felt in a classroom full of 5- and 6-year-olds.”

Yeah, what is most important for a teacher is HER health, which is why teachers unions all over America have been instrumental in the ruination of a generation of children, by insisting on remote “learning”.

Even after Dictator Inslee went along with the CDC for vaccinated people, the vast majority of shoppers in all the grocery stores I go to still dutifully wear their masks.  And King County, the home of Seattle, has mandated masks in public, in defiance of the CDC!  Don’t you tell me to follow the science, if you refuse to do so (as if the CDC itself is following scientific data).  Our favorite Asian grocery store still requires masks of everyone, and they have an enforcer at the door to make sure you are correctly wearing your mask.  Funny, but I won’t be going there again, until they start following the CDC, instead of their own little Dictator Health Nazis.

Today, there is a post on the American Thinker site, by a doctor, Brian Joondeph, about mask theater.  He goes over the political reasons that many sheeple are still wearing their masks.  And he opines that the new mascot for the DemocRat party should be the face mask!  It’s a great read, highly recommended!
