I saw the news this morning, that Robbie Coltrane, the actor who played Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts in the eight Harry Potter movies, had passed away.  This makes me very sad, and I’m sure I speak for all my Harry Potter fan readers.  The first movie, which I saw just after its release in 2001, was my introduction to the Harry Potter Universe, and I fell in love with all the cast members, including Hagrid.

I first saw the story on the Fox News Web site this morning, and the article is excellent, highlighting all the tributes to Robbie Coltrane by all the other actors who appeared with him in the movies.  I urge my readers to read the story, they will find tears coming to their eyes, like I did.
