One of the great benefits of having a cell phone with a great camera, is that you always have it with you to capture those scenes that just show up without warning. Yesterday, as we were walking back to our car after the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra concert, we took a stroll through the Puget Consumer’s Coop store. Out in front, they had a just perfect display of something that just screams Autumn!

I especially liked this display, because the gourds are bare. Other grocery stores put price stickers on their pumpkins, but PCC does not. These were advertised as “jack-o-lantern pumpkins”.
Then, when we went inside, I saw this display of wine, and was quite taken with the label. All symbols, no words.

As grocery stores go, nobody beats Uwajimaya for gorgeous displays. Every time we go there, I find something new and exciting.
Everything from fresh fish to vegetables, to cans of jam and prepared foods, makes a bright, colorful display. They also display things that you can’t buy, but just can admire.

Of course, what is a post showing things on display without the display we see each year at the Leavenworth International Accordion Celebration. Tables full of accordions of every size and variety, from tiny kids models to full chromatic button accordions. Hats off to Tempo Trend Music, which brings them for sale and admiration.

And not only accordions can be found on display in Leavenworth.
And, seeing as Leavenworth is Washington’s Bavarian Village, it wouldn’t be Bavaria without Nutcrackers.
Here’s the Link to this week’s Original Post. And Tina’s too!

Love the accordions!
Hubby plays accordion and arranges piano music for it.
Ah – my father played the accordion, and I inherited the beautiful instrument.
As Ray inherited his Dad’s instrument in 2001. He taught himself at first, then found a teacher and took lessons. He played in an accordion band until Covid. You will find a bunch of posts on my blog about the Leavenworth International Accordion Celebration which takes place in June every year.
Oops. I’ve been outed.
You’ll find this hard to believe RB, but I actually took accordion lessons as a kid in high school. My older brother did too and became quite an accordionist. I moved to piano and still play but never quite took to the accordion. Loved your choices this week. I’d never heard of the store you featured which looks great!
Tempo Trend Music is in Victoria, BC. We usually drop in and visit when we are there.
