Is Wind Energy really Green? Environmentally friendly? Let’s see.

Do you think that hillsides, fields, and waters sprouting huge three-bladed windmills are the answer to humanity’s need for energy that is cheap and reliable?

Let’s start at the end of that windmill’s life.

Wind turbine blade graveyard

Those blades are made of hundreds of different types of materials, so they can’t be recycled. They are huge, requiring special trailers to transport (which use massive amounts of diesel fuel for the trucks).

Each windmill requires three of these.

Green?

Windmill effects.

Environmentally friendly?
Not wallet-friendly
Pollution!

Still think wind energy is the answer?

From last year

History.

I don’t think wind energy has been such a great investment, since most of its materials and manufacturers are foreign. Think of all the wasted energy, land, and materials expended, when American energy and American companies could have provided more, and immediately, at lower cost.

In answer to your question on wind turbines in Poland, yes they do have them. In 2019, wind turbines accounted for about 10% of electricity production after coal. Source is Wikipedia.
