But some truck-or-treaters in Louisiana spoiled the Halloween experience for everyone around. Their second big mistake was stealing all the Halloween candy, AND some pumpkins from someone’s porch, within sight of the wide-angle doorbell camera.

Their first and biggest mistake was using their work van with the company logo and information in bold letters on the side. Below is the original story.
To me, it appears that the brazen thieves were all Hispanic, and likely illegal aliens (the construction industry is rife with illegal labor, especially in Southern border states). I think that roofing business might be in for a visit by local law enforcement, closely followed by ICE.
At our house, we had groups of really cute kids in creative costumes, with adults waiting on the sidewalk while the kids went to the door. Everyone thanked me, and I complimented them on their costumes. There were at least two with lighted costumes, along the edges, and I thought they were very cool!
It is a shame that our society is turning into one of lowered trust, as shown by the Louisiana incident, that I’m sure was duplicated in many places. Cities are increasingly dangerous for residents, while crime and homelessness are spreading even into wealthier neighborhoods.
It’s pretty much a myth that poisoned candy might end up in your kids treat bag, but those ugly yard displays show the malevolence found in leftists yards.
