Today is the Birthday of My Hero, Rush Limbaugh

And he is missed, now more than ever, as our country is plagued by Leftist violence, almost amounting to a new Civil War. But this time, it’s less civilized and barbarian. Anyway, I thought I’d dig up some of Rush’s best quotes about the Left, and the DemocRat party.

About how DemocRats see the Founding Fathers 10/6/2009 on Rush’s show:

All right. We did one of our famous Google searches here. We searched the keywords “Founding Fathers were terrorists.” We Google searched “Founding Fathers were terrorists.” It returned 11,200 pages for “Founding Fathers were terrorists.” That’s how mainstream it is, at least out there on the Internet.

About racial politics and freedom of speech, in particular about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (Rush’s Justice Brothers). From 4/12/2007

But they exist for one reason: liberal, white plantation owner racists have created these two figures and have granted them power and authority as Democrats, and now guess who have become the targets of the wrath of Sharpton and Jackson? For now it’s the white liberal executives at CBS and NBC. So it’s about racial politics. It’s about racial politics, and when it comes back to the lack of minority reputation of the big three networks, MSNBC as well as CNN, I have to agree that Reverend Jackson [and] Reverend Sharpton are right. On to something now that’s the practical reality of all this. If it’s about racial politics, then what shall be the ideal percentage? This argument we’ve been having since the first affirmative action argument came up, the whole quota argument.

I made the point back in the early eighties, mid-eighties, when this all started. “Affirmative action is about making sure the race wars never end.” You won’t get ’em to come. That’s why they hate the quota business. Because when you start saying “Yeah, there should be quotas,” then they’re willing to put a finite number on the number of minorities in any job, and that’s not what this is about. This is about shakedowns.

They want to shut down anybody who doesn’t embrace their ideology, and they want to criminalize those who don’t embrace their ideology. Today it’s the race baiters. Tomorrow it’s going to be some other cause, but liberalism is what it is, and it exists to silence people who don’t agree. They can’t win the debate, which they admit by their own actions. They don’t want debate. They can’t compete in the open marketplace of ideas because their ideas are flawed, and airing those ideas makes it clear that they are flawed.

Rush Limbaugh on the “Rush Babe” phenomenon. Your blogger here heard the call from the adult lady who had found Rush after she was grown, and not a “Rush Baby” who listened from childhood. She suggested a new group “Rush Babes” for mature female Rush fans. He just loved the idea, and within a couple of weeks there was “Rush Babe” merch in his online store, and a new group was born. This explanation is from May of 2012. (this is when I got the idea for my handle and this blog)

“Rush Babe” is not demeaning or insulting of women in any way. It is an acknowledgment, ladies and gentlemen, that a proud conservative woman is innately attractive for her independence or intellect of commitment to real values and doesn’t mind being called a babe. It’s a compliment to a well-adjusted woman. Hey, babe, how are you? It’s not an insult. Rush Babes for America is a compliment. Only in the land of the left would calling a woman a babe to her face be insulting, such as stigmatizing or ignoring the existence of her brain.

Short and pithy Rush statement, on the Left:

The left doesn’t want to be judged on the results of anything they do. They only want to be judged on their good intentions.

Rush on the Left and what they say about the ability of groups to succeed in America. 10/21/2020

My friends, there are a lot of things that I know, and there’s plenty that I don’t know. But one thing that I know in 2020: We have to reject this narrative that a certain race of a certain gender cannot succeed in our country. It’s just bogus. This is the message of the left. The message of the left is that American hasn’t changed from the days of our founding. We are still a racist slave state. If you’re African American, you’re locked.

You’re stuck! You don’t have a prayer of moving up. This stuff has to be dispelled; it has to be nuked; it has to be swept away. The whole notion that America’s best days are behind it is silly. America’s best days are always ahead of us. But that’s what on the ballot.

What will America’s best days be? How tough is it going to be to continue riding this massive rocket that is the United States of America? We have to reject the idea that you have to vote Democrat if you are of a certain race or background, and the way to reject this idea is to simply point to the people who have been voting Democrat for the last fifty years, and then tell people: You notice they’re still complaining about the same things? They’re still unhappy about the same things. They’ve been investing in the Democrat Party with their votes for fifty years! The Democrat Party has been promising to end discrimination, to bring about social justice, police justice, whatever justice.

They’ve been promising to fix economic inequalities and all that–and yet every group of people that votes for the Democrat Party is still complaining about the very things they continue to vote for the Democrat Party to fix. It is fundamentally racist and not true to say that the only chance you have if you are of a certain race of background is to vote Democrat.

Rush Limbaugh, my Hero, was a true Man of the People. He had faith that every American, regardless of race or economic background, has equal access to the American Dream. I miss him so very much, and I hope you do, too. We need to keep his memory, and his achievements alive, for every American, always.
