Below are just some of the new bills up before the majority-DemocRat (both houses) legislature of Washington this year. Every single one removes rights and liberty for law-abiding citizens in our state, and there is zero that we can do to stop most of them. The Far-Left has essentially a free hand here.

Now, we won’t be able to track the many conflicts of interest that our legislators have. Many of them own private businesses, which receive state government funds, an obvious conflict. Being owned by Democrats, a large number of those businesses are so-called “non-profits”, an even larger conflict of interest. Grift and graft everywhere. Now, for some more.
SB5068: Allows foreigners (green-card holders) to be law-enforcement officers and prosecutors. If you break the law, the policeman who arrests you and the attorney who prosecutes you may not even be Americans.
SB5098: Expands the number of places where firearms are prohibited. (an obvious infringement of 2A)
SB2321: Another firearms one.
SB5218: Allows WA to withhold funds destined for the Federal government, if the Feds withhold money that should go to WA (like for sanctuary cities and the state). The bill also allows those withheld funds to be USED by the Washington government. This is a major violation of Federal law.
SB5974: Allows the State to De-certify Elected County Sheriffs, and to Appoint officers in their place. Most Washington counties have elected sheriffs. Our Pierce County Sheriff has already come afoul of this proposed law.
SB5973/HB2259, AKA “Initiative Killer”: Would make sponsors of initiatives to the People or the Legislature obtain 1000 valid signatures, submit them to the Secretary of State, and have them certified BEFORE the initiative could even be filed.
SB5855: Would ban Federal law-enforcement officers from wearing face coverings. This is another unlawful proposal, as the Feds have Supremacy over the states. Minnesota is trying this too.
HB2429: Builds a government surveillance structure for children from birth to age 25. Any parents’ rights that are left after the SB5599 removing parents from their kids’ lives after age 13 would be destroyed by this.
HB2112: Establishes minimum age for online viewing of “adult” content. Essentially a Digital ID for kids (and adults to prove they aren’t kids).
HB2376: Mandates utility bill discounts for the “low-income”. This means that all other rate-payers would see higher bills to cover the low-income. California is already doing this, and most rate-payers have already seen their bills double.
HB2382: New excise tax on cigarettes, vapes, and other tobacco products. How about a new $0.10 tax PER CIGARETTE!
HB2123: Allows foreign participation in Washington State Elections. Off-shore software anyone? Voting machines sending data to Communist China perhaps?
With their new super-majority, and a Republican Party that’s basically a bunch of wusses, the citizens of Washington State are going to be even more uncomfortable than they already are.
And, finally, the icing on the bitter cake. An Income Tax on “high earners”. See below for some commentary on this. It has made the national news.
