The Governor and Public Employee Unions heavily promoting the coming Millionaires Tax, that is really an income tax on everyone.

When you elect inexperienced activists to run your political systems, this is what you get. This is basic stuff for anyone who understands how systemic costs get inflated and passed along.
What’s worse then is these same ignorant and inexperienced politicians blame it on landlords and insurance companies for handing people the bill run up by their voting choices.
Seattle getting their democracy good and hard.

Seattle police, severely understaffed, have been ignoring property crimes for years.

And our State Officials waste our money like this.

On the Crime and Drugs scene:

EXCLUSIVE: The City of Bellevue just released its latest report on the public safety crisis triggered by the notorious Plymouth Crossing/PorchLight homeless drug campus near the Factoria shopping district.
The authors say 911 calls are down and frame it as a positive.
But this is disingenuous and pure spin. What they fail to mention are the types of disturbances still coming from this cancer in the community.
We’re talking about violent assaults, drug overdose deaths, and harboring of criminals.
And compared to other areas of the city, these facilities still cause the most police responses in the community.
Through public disclosure requests, Discovery Institute has obtained hundreds of 911 calls from this Eastgate campus during the same period.
The incidents coming from Plymouth and PorchLight are horrific.
Here is a quick compilation. More to come.

It’s a long thread, so please go to the X original for the whole thing.

Crime and Drugs, all in one. That’s basically the story of homelessness in Seattle. Both are actually encouraged and supported by city government.

Meadowdale Elementary Rocked By Sexual Abuse Allegation,

District Has Paid Accused Special Ed Teacher $470,000 After Allegations Surfaced Parents in the Edmonds School District are demanding answers after learning a former special education teacher was placed on paid leave for nearly two years amid multiple sexual abuse allegations. David Sibley was hired by the Edmonds School District in 2022 as a special education instructor at Meadowdale Elementary. According to former staff and police records, he was accused of inappropriate physical contact with at least 11 special education students between the ages of six and twelve. Sibley was placed on paid administrative leave in August 2024. He is scheduled to resign at the end of August 2026. The district has paid him approximately $470,000 in salary and severance during that time. Washington state law requires school districts to immediately notify parents when a student is alleged to be the victim of sexual misconduct by a school employee. At the June 9th school board meeting, parents and former Edmonds School district employees voiced strong criticism over the lack of notification and the district’s handling of the case. The Lynnwood Police Department investigated the allegations. In August 2024, Sibley was cited for fourth-degree assault involving an adult employee and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation involving a child. However, the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office declined to file charges, citing insufficient evidence. The Edmonds School District has not yet issued a public statement on the matter. Former staff say they hope the district will finally notify the affected families and take responsibility for how the case was handled.

Trained Dolphins Protect the World’s Largest Concentration of Nuclear Warheads, Just 20 Minutes Outside of Downtown Seattle

Naval Base Kitsap–Bangor is widely regarded by independent experts as home to the world’s largest concentration of deployed nuclear warheads. While the exact number remains classified, public estimates suggest the base stores roughly 1,000 to 1,300 warheads. One of the base’s most fascinating security measures isn’t high tech, it’s biological. Through the U.S. Navy’s Marine Mammal Program, trained bottlenose dolphins patrol the waters around Bangor using their natural echolocation to detect unauthorized divers, submerged equipment, and other underwater objects that can be difficult for conventional sensors to find. In some operations, the dolphins have been trained to attach a marker or shackle to an unauthorized diver, allowing Navy security personnel to quickly locate and detain them. They’re not trained to attack, but it’s entirely possible for someone to be “caught” by a dolphin before ever encountering a human
