Some Pacific Northwest Fall Color for your enjoyment

We have three Japanese Maple trees in our back yard. Just a few days ago, they all had green foliage. In a very short time, they all turned brilliant red. I find it nearly miraculous that this change takes so little time.

Sorry for the mess on the ground-we are surrounded by huge cedar trees that drop those “scales” all fall. You should see our roof! The cedars may be called “evergreen”, but they still shed a percentage of their foliage each autumn.

They don’t, however, dim the brightness of those red maple trees. A real sight for sore eyes.
