Insanity, Squared.

Did you know that the government of Germany has approved "assisted suicide" or the correct term, Euthanasia?  And with Germany's recent history in mind, that makes the idea of medical professionals, (whose Hippocratic Oath demands that they "First, do no harm"), being directed to help people to die, even more horrific than it already is. A …

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #176: One photo, one story

My first entry for this week's challenge tells a sad story, one that is still being written all over the world. Each one of those empty, surplus chairs from June of 2020 was from the desk of a person, an employee who contributed to the success of an aerospace manufacturer.  Every empty chair represents an …

If you didn’t already have enough reasons for not relying on government transportation, here’s a good one.

The Leftists who run Western Washington have been attempting to get people out of their individually-owned vehicles, and into "public" transportation for years.  Their new "light-rail"/100-year-old technology choo-choo-train has been promoted twelve ways from Sunday, but of course the vast majority of citizens of this relatively low-density area still use their own private vehicles to …

Cee’s November Alphabet Challenge: Double S’s in the Word

If I am not mistaken, there are two S's in Tennessee.  We flew there in April of this year to attend a Hillsdale College seminar, and a Ricochet meetup with our internet friends we hadn't met yet.  Below are some pictures I took of places we went in Tennessee. This is the landscape of the …

For Thanksgiving: A cornucopia of Learning, featuring accurate History and other rarely-found information

Just where, you ask, can you find accurate history and the Truth, in these days of fake news and doctored history?  You can find almost everything you need at Hillsdale College, and most of it is absolutely free.  Yes, I said “Free”.  Let’s start with Hillsdale’s most valuable contribution to the citizens of the United …

CFFC-Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, Reflections and Shadows

So, what motivated my friend Cee to choose reflections and shadows for this week's fun challenge?  I see, she fell right into my hands...  Reflections and shadows are some of my very favorite photographic subjects! Bodies of water are excellent for reflections, aren't they?  Especially if the water is flat, mirror-like.  The waters of Silver …

Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #175: Follow your Bliss

My header photo this week seems perfect for the topic, doesn't it?  I took it with my phone, from my chair at the nail spa where I get my monthly pedicures.  Once every month, I get to have someone else do my tootsies, and I get to just relax and feel pampered.  It's also a …

What does it say about the Republican Party of Washington State…

When its only state-wide elected office-holder takes a job in the corrupt Biden administration?  I now regret the two times I voted for Kim Wyman.  She has shown us that she is completely untrustworthy.  May she be miserable in the Other Washington.  "Answers the Call of Duty", my ass. Wyman, who battled misinformation from some …

I have not been following the Kyle Rittenhouse trial closely, but I am pleased with the ultimate outcome. Not Guilty on all charges.

Young Mr. Rittenhouse was helping to protect friends in Kenosha, Wisconsin, against BLM and Antifa protestors who were burning and looting businesses last summer, and he was legally armed.  He shot people in the mob, who were threatening him, and we know how those "protestors" destroyed the livelihoods of many innocent people all over the …
