Far-Left Seattle Corruption revealed in Mayoral race. Yawn…

We all know the incestuous relations among Seattle legacy media, “alternative” media, and corrupt Seattle politicians. This year’s mayoral contest takes it to a whole new level.

Katie Wilson, an avowed Socialist running against the leftist incumbent, was recently found to be a “nepo-baby”, still receiving money from her wealthy professor parents. Today, a local radio host has publicized her plans for local far-left media to be paid by Seattle taxpayers.

I will link a couple of posts under this, so you can get a better idea.

More taxes for Seattle!!

Well, Seattle voters rarely vote down new taxes. They already fund “Democracy Vouchers” to fund leftist political campaigns (no one but leftists run in Seattle), so a new tax to fund media isn’t much of a stretch.

Just one more piece of Ari’s post.

She can barely afford to live in Seattle, so she advocates increasing taxes on residents, including her own family, to support local media. Yep, proof that leftists have no working brains, just emotions.

In sum, Socialist candidate advocates taxpayer support of media, FOR WHOM SHE, HERSELF WORKS. This is a form of corruption called “self-dealing”, where politicians direct taxpayer money to entities in which they have a financial interest.

If Seattle voters elect her, they will amply deserve everything they get. We will be watching the election results with interest, and giving thanks that we don’t live in Seattle.

  1. Don’t forget that every $100 media voucher will cost the taxpayer significantly more than $100, since someone has to run the program. Presumably some leftist crony hired for the purpose through the new Office of Media Funding.

Also, what do you want to bet that “approved” news outlets won’t include any right leaning outlet.

    1. Correct. As far as I know, the only right-leaning media outlets in Seattle are KTTH, and KVI the AM radio stations. They have no print or TV branches. However, the online comments on the KOMO web site seem to be fairly conservative, which has been a surprise to me.
They don’t seem to translate into votes, and no conservative candidate has the fortitude to run in Seattle. See my post here about Asymmetric Warfare.
