2/ You call the bank.
They tell you the freeze was triggered by a risk assessment algorithm. They cannot override it. They cannot tell you what caused it. They cannot tell you how long it will last.
You call the school. They say her financial aid was flagged by a federal compliance system. No human reviewed it. No appeal process exists.
You ask what she did wrong. No one can tell you. The system does not explain itself.
3/ You watch your child be excluded from society — and you are powerless to stop it.
She cannot buy food. Cannot pay rent. Cannot access her own money. Cannot prove she did anything wrong because no one will tell her what triggered the flag.

Two weeks later, his insurance premiums triple. His mortgage application is denied.
His employer receives a notification that he is a reputational risk. He is not arrested. He is not charged with a crime. He just spoke at a public meeting. And now his life is being systematically dismantled.
5/ You try to defend him.
You post online explaining what happened. You call it what it is — retaliation for political speech.
Your post is flagged for spreading misinformation. Your verified profile is marked. Your employer is notified.
You are not fired. You are reassigned. Quietly moved away from client-facing work. Your career trajectory ends — not because you did anything illegal, but because defending your brother made you a liability.
6/ Your best friend refuses to comply with a new surveillance mandate.
