This morning, I was on X, and I found a post by a local commentator on the Post-Mortem on the 2024 landslide loss for the Democrat Party. They have finally processed their loss, and figured out how to present it to the public so it doesn’t look like their policies and candidate were soundly rejected by the voters of America. Since the Left can never admit error (their policies are not only bad for their favored “marginalized groups”, but bad for the country); it dawned on me that because of this blind spot, their solutions never work.
Here is what I just figured out about the Democrats and the entire Left: Instead of admitting that their Policies are wrong and ineffective, they try to FIX THE PEOPLE. Since the Left can never admit that their behaviors and their Policies are in error, they believe that it’s the People who are in error, and need correcting. This is shown by their emphasis on eliminating “Wrongthink” in the Public, and calling the writings and policies of their political enemies (notice, enemies, NOT opponents) “disinformation”, “misinformation”, and all their favorite -isms (racism, sexism, ageism, ableism, homophobia, etc).
The “Autopsy Report” just released by the DNC seems to have been slapped together at the last minute, including numerous typographical errors. Even the head of the DNC has rejected the report due to its sloppiness! Some commentary.
Read the reports, read the commentary, and see if it doesn’t look like the Democrats are playing true to type. The voters are the problem, and the Democrats’ only error is “improper messaging”. It’s not the message that’s the problem, but the messaging.
These are the people who support Socialism and Communism, which have NEVER worked to improve the human condition; because they just haven’t been done the correct (their) way. Notice that the report heavily appeals to the emotions of the reader, “anger” is prominent, and invective is always aimed at President Trump and the Republicans.
Thomas Sowell’s “Vision of the Anointed”, or the “unconstrained vision” is what drives the Left to emphasize changing the people to fit the leftist worldview. Funny, but the People seem to be resisting this forced change, and are responding in the ways that their Human Nature dictates.
Democrats: Change the People to do the correct thing so our policies will work. Example: Wealthy have to sit still and just pay the confiscatory taxes levied to redistribute to the “poor” and “marginalized”. If that happens, the poor and marginalized will be happy, healthy, productive, and always vote for Democrats. These policies have never worked and the only ones happy are the politicians, NGOs, and their well-paid executives. The results are decaying infrastructure, drug-addicted homeless people, wealth protected from depredations, lower employment, and deaths of despair.
Republicans: Change the Policies to better reflect people’s requirements and abilities. Example: Lower taxes on everyone; people take home more of their wages, can buy more, can improve their lives by their own efforts, including starting businesses and owning their own homes. With more money, they can donate to charities which help the poor and marginalized. More economic activity leads to higher GDP and more wealth and prosperity for everyone, not just the top.
