The past weekend was Seafair in Seattle, a city-wide celebration that has gone on for many decades. There are events all over the city, including the big Torchlight Parade through downtown, and the big food festival Bite of Seattle. Since the onerous Covid restrictions imposed by the Far-Left city government in 2020, the Bite has been a shadow of its former self, with skyrocketing prices for food items, and fewer food booths in most years.

This year’s Bite was marred by a mass-shooting event, a gangland-inspired shootout among members of the gangs than are found in most areas of the city now. And the City government, Fire Services, and Police Departments all contributed to the clownish, inept responses by every branch. Firstly, it was determined that the new Chief of Police (hired from Chicago a year ago), Shon Barnes, was out of town at a Black Police Officials conference in Dallas. It was also revealed that Chief Barnes does not even live in Seattle, but still maintains his residence in Chicago! Diligent citizen journalists dug into the black chief’s affairs to discover this, AND that he has been commuting between Seattle and Chicago on the public dime.

So not only did Seattle’s Police Chief Shon Barnes not pass a background test, his primary residence is in Chicago.

No wonder he wasn’t available with all the other “dignitaries” at the press conference 5 hours after the deadly shooting in Seattle last night.

According to the Associated Press, his family’s primary residence is in the Chicago area. He frequently travels back and forth from Seattle to Chicago to see them.

And the press conference where the police discussed the mass shooting was delayed by FIVE HOURS, due to “dignitaries” not being available!!

NEW: Socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and SPD Chief Shon Barnes are in crisis management mode.
This morning, local media eviscerated them for failing to properly update the community about Sunday’s Seattle Center mass casualty shooting. The exchanges were so tense, Wilson’s handlers cut the press conference short.
We didn’t even get to hear from Governor Bob Ferguson or Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal.

At least one of the shooters was a minor, 15 years old, and we ALL know what King County judges do when faced with a teenage miscreant, vandal, or even murderer.

And then, there’s this. Not mentioned in the local legacy media.

As I have already pointed out more than once, the Leftist King County Judiciary believes that the perpetrators of violent gang crimes are the actual Victims of Society, and as such are not responsible for their crimes, no matter how heinous. They are rarely prosecuted as adults, and as minors are sent to one of our porous-walled “Juvenile Detention” institutions, from where they often escape. Those institutions are often short-staffed, since few corrections officers volunteer to go there due to the violent inmates. Once they become adults, they continue their crime and shooting sprees, repeatedly being arrested and released, until they are eventually killed by another gang member. Long prison sentences are rare, and “rehabilitation” is even rarer. The law-abiding citizens of Washington are always at risk, and due to onerous gun laws, especially in Seattle (the Seattle Center is a “gun-free zone), are often caught in the crossfire.

When you vote for incompetence, this is what you get.

@JeremyHarrisTV displaying this level of frustration, you’ve lost the plot. Sadly, with most of Seattle legacy media kissing up to the “dignitaries” for years, they have zero respect or concern for being held accountable. (Of course Jeremy, and several independent media don’t fit this fawning fan-service).

Once again, Seattle and its inept and dangerous “leaders” have made the National News, for all the horrible, wrong reasons. And even long-time residents and natives are leaving in droves.

Congratulations, Seattle, you have made yourself the laughing-stock of America, and brought unwanted attention to how crime is NOT handled here. Well, this is what Seattle voted for, and they are getting it, good and hard.
