Here it is, Washington. The Money Quote on what the Governor thinks about the parents of our state.

The article on the KOMO Web site has this headline. This is the GOVERNOR of our state.

Governor Ferguson Speaks Out AGAINST the Parental Rights Initiative on the ballot this fall.

Yes, our Democrat Governor in against parental rights. The stated reason is supposedly to support children. As for all Democrats, they can say with a straight face that denying PARENTS the ability to know exactly what is happening to their children in schools and elsewhere, is IN SUPPORT OF CHILDREN.

The Governor says the I-001 would “remove” parents’ rights, which is a big, fat lie. The Left believes that at age 13 ALL children should have absolute control of their medical records, denying parents the ability to see what doctors are saying about children, and prescribing for them. The State essentially says that minor children are now medical adults. The State assumes that all 13-year-olds are mature enough to decide their own medical care, and this includes decisions on their “gender.” This state allows minors to declare that they are a different sex from that of their birth, and are allowed to begin taking cross-sex hormones WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT OF THEIR PARENTS.

The State is quick to assume guardianship of teen runaways, keeping knowledge of their whereabouts from parents.

So, here’s what the initiative would restore for Washington parents. You decide if the points are detrimental to children and “remove” parental rights.

Now, initiative 001 (I-001), brought forward by Let’s Go Washington, aims to restore the original text of the Parents’ Bill of Rights. If it is restored, it would mean, among other things:

  • That parents or guardians have access, within 10 business days (rather than the current 45), to their student’s academic, medical, mental health counseling, and nearly all other school records.
  • Under the initiative, parents can opt their child out of assignments, activities, and other student engagements that question the child’s “sexual experiences or attractions, courses that question the child’s family beliefs, morality, religion or political affiliations or any mental health or psychological problems of the child or a family member.”
  • Parents have the right to examine the textbooks, curriculum, and supplemental material used in their child’s classroom.
  • The initiative also requires that parents receive immediate notification if a criminal action is “deemed” (rather than alleged) to have been committed against or by their child.

The Governor is against this. Let’s face it, the Governor and his Democrats are against parents.
