Given that Katie Wilson is still the mayor, it’s hard to imagine that very much good has been happening in Seattle. There has been little to no progress on the homeless situation, as can be expected. In the run-up to the FIFA World Cup matches in June, the Seattle city government has actually been moving the homeless tent camps to other cities around Puget Sound. Yes, they are picking them up, and dropping them in other towns, so as to clear the streets and not bother the out-of-town fans who are expected to visit the city. I kid you not.
And the homeless are being moved around within Seattle too.
More news from the Homeless/Drug Addict scene in Seattle. Many street vagrants in Seattle have dogs with them, and the city is now seeing dogs affected by all the drugs around them! Can you believe, the city is putting up flyers about how to get Naloxone for your DOG?!
Using drugs in public, you say? What??!!
Yep, the enabling of drug addiction by the County Health (?!?) Department, at TAXPAYER EXPENSE. Somehow, I don’t really think that most taxpayers would be in favor of encouraging drug addiction. Unfortunately, local rules don’t force addicts into treatment-they may remain on the streets until they finally die of an overdose for the last time. Statistics show that street addicts are dying every day in the Seattle area. And it’s not only downtown that sees the effects of these policies.
And in the Beacon Hill area, a “drug RV” blew up.

It’s a very effective money-laundering scheme to ensure that the system always expands and never improves the lot of the street vagrants who are the system’s perpetual clients.

Last but not least, the City of Seattle homosexual lobby has declared the city to be a “Trans Sanctuary City,” and numerous “transsexual people” are moving here. I wonder why? Coming for the free stuff.

The Blob has an amazing turnout for elections…and also has folks still on the rolls who were stationed at McChord in the ’90s and haven’t come back across the Mississippi since.
When we moved away, it took several years and an unofficial call from a federal agency to get them to stop mailing a ballot to freaking Texas. (I moved back with my parents on the dry side first, and “mysteriously” they had no issues canceling my registration.)
I can see no reason to believe that Seattle proper has miraculously better upkeep on their registration.
